Unless noted otherwise in an event description, programs at the Gillette Sand Dune Visitor Center and the campgrounds are free.

 

Programs held in the campground are for registered campers only due to parking limitations.

 

A Recreation Passport is required for entry into the state park. Your Recreation Passport purchase is one significant way in which you can support the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Michigan State Parks. When you purchase a Recreation Passport at the time of your license plate renewal, it provides you access to over 90 state parks for one year, and is an act of stewardship that says you are proud to be a part of Michigan's natural resource legacy. All programs begin on time. Some popular programs like Snakes and Michigan Turtles fill up quickly in our limited space. We recommend being 15 minutes early to any program to insure a spot. Late arrivals may be told they cannot participate if we have reached our capacity or if the presenter has already started.
