Spring Blooms in the Dunes Native Plant Sale
Welcome to the Gillette Nature Association
The Gillette Nature Association periodically receives gifts from private individuals, organizations and community foundations.
We would like to publicly thank all donors who contribute to programming at P.J. Hoffmaster State Park and the Gillette Visitor Center through their donation of time, talent and money.
We would specifically like to highlight and thank these recent donors:
- We received a $250 grant from the Mike and Jane Hutchins Family Fund established through the Grand Haven Community Foundation. This gift was recommended by Jacob, Michael, Allison, Katie and Megan Boss.
- We received a $2,500 grant from the John J. Helstrom Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation for Muskegon. This was in response to the Community Needs Wish List and will be used for a wall graphic depicting sand dunes for the Gillette Visitor Center's Dune Den.
- Donations have been given in loving memory of Mary Devoogd by her husband Roger Devoogd and many family and friends. Mary and Roger enjoyed their visits to the Visitor Center and often enjoyed sitting by the large windows to watch the birds and other animals. We gratefully acknowledge their memorial designation and send our best wishes to those that love and miss Mary.
- A donation of $200 in memory of Anne Faiks by Joan and Mark Strobel.
Thank you!

The Gillette Visitor Center is inviting residents to submit their best work to a “Michigan Wildflower” photo contest. Choose a favorite photo from last year or take a trek through the woods, fields or wetlands this spring and try your hand at capturing the beauty of a native Michigan wildflower.
Congratulations to our Wildlife of Michigan in Winter Photo Contest winners...
