All snowshoe hikes require pre-registration as snowshoes and space are limited. Snowshoes are provided by the Gillette Nature Association for a small donation of $5 per person. This donation offsets the yearly costs associated with maintaining the snowshoes. Those interested in reserving snowshoes may call the Center at 231-798-3573. Those who have their own shoes are still encourage to reserve a space as group sizes are limited.
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to provide cookies, brownies and other desserts on January 30, 2010 for our annual Moonlight Snowshoe hike at 7pm. Bakers can drop their treats off at the Center the day before or on the day of the hike between the hours of 12-4pm. Volunteers are also needed to make coffee, tea and work the refreshment table that evening. Anyone interested should call the Center at 231-798-3573 by January 10.
