Spring Native Plant Sale
As Michigan’s cold winter weather settles in; thoughts of spring begin to occupy our mind. As trees start to bud and wildflowers begin to emerge, gardeners and naturalists eagerly prepare for a new season! On Saturday, May 1st, 2010, the Gillette Nature Association will be hosting a native plant sale. To help you beat the winter blues, they will be offering a pre-sale. Pre-ordering will ensure the availability of the plant species you desire.
Michigan native plants make great gifts for family and friends. In addition to conserving our natural heritage, they also help support wildlife! As many know, the Gillette Nature Association has been hosting this sale for nearly twenty-five years! The proceeds help support educational and recreational programming at the Gillette Visitor Center. The presale plants will be available for pick up on April 30th. In addition to the plants on the pre-order form, there will a variety of other species offered during the public sale. Please visit our website to learn more about the plant sale and other upcoming events!
